Childhood cancer remains a global issue, yet many are unaware of its early signs. In Zimbabwe, misinformation, superstition, and stigma contribute to delayed diagnoses, resulting in alarmingly low survival rates. Early detection is crucial, but too often, by the time a child is diagnosed, treatment options are limited.
This Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, ZimWorX is committed to supporting families battling pediatric cancer. Through #The51, we proudly contributed US$25,000 to sponsor a Room of Love at KidzCan Zimbabwe’s Rainbow Children’s Village, a healing space for children undergoing cancer treatment. Recently, our Wellness Associates and Global Sales Director Chris Pruitt visited the site to see firsthand the progress of the room, which has become a symbol of comfort, hope, and resilience for families in need.

Our goal extends beyond providing a healing space, it’s about empowering families with knowledge to recognize the signs of childhood cancer early. Symptoms like unexplained weight loss, persistent fever, unusual lumps, and changes in vision should not be ignored.
Early intervention can save lives, and we encourage everyone to learn these critical signs. At ZimWorX, we are proud to support KidzCan Zimbabwe and continue to foster wellness and awareness in the fight against childhood cancer.
For The Children Fighting Cancer, Hope Starts Here

You have the power to save lives. By supporting critical initiatives, you can change the future for children battling cancer in Zimbabwe.
For many families, getting consistent cancer treatment is simply out of reach. Long, expensive trips to central hospitals are unaffordable—especially for those from rural and disadvantaged communities. As a result, too many children don’t complete their treatment—not due to a lack of hope, but because of barriers we can break.
At ZimWorX, we’ve already taken a stand. Through our #The51 Initiative, we proudly contributed US$25,000 to sponsor a “Room of Love” for KidzCan Zimbabwe’s Rainbow Children’s Village. This room will provide more than just shelter, it will offer a peaceful, supportive environment where children can rest, recover, and receive the care they need, while easing the financial and emotional burden on their families. It’s a space where healing begins, not just medically, but emotionally, too.
But this is just the beginning. Imagine what we could achieve with more partners like you. Together, we can drive real, measurable change. The Room of Love is part of Phase 3 of the Rainbow Children’s Village expansion, which will add 9 new accommodation rooms, a playroom, a bathroom block, and a storage room. ZimWorX will even help design the room, ensuring it reflects the collective commitment of businesses and individuals who care.
Every year, childhood cancer claims over 250,000 young lives globally. In Zimbabwe, the survival rate for children with cancer and blood disorders is just 20 percent, a heartbreaking reality, but one we can change. KidzCan Zimbabwe is working tirelessly to raise that rate to 60 percent by 2030, and your support can make it possible.
“To improve survival rates, raising community awareness about childhood cancer symptoms and the importance of early diagnosis is crucial.” – Daniel McKenzie, KidzCan Director.
Fighting childhood cancer requires significant resources, over US$300 million annually. At ZimWorX, we believe in business with purpose.
